The OBO ROBO Hi Control Legguards took 18 months to develop. The underlying rationale for the legguard design stems from the demands of the modern game, changes in playing trends, and new rules - meaning that goalkeepers need to be more mobile.

These legguards are shaped to give excellent rebound control from almost any angle. The ball control is achieved by a design centered around the natural movement of the human body, and the use of carefully selected foams. Because the design allows the body to move naturally, more power and a controlled rebound are achieved.

The left and right legguards are not the same - as goalkeepers have different requirements for each leg. The left leg is wider and is angled differently to maximize width, while minimizing the chance of a ball skidding past the outside edge of the legguard and into the goal.
